Confectionery packaging
for Allen's of Kendal

Design for packaging | Illustration

Tom Allen started making Mint Cake in Kendal in 1932. While that original company was sold, Tom's grandsons have reintroduced Allen's Mint Cake, still made in Kendal. Deliberately nostalgic in style, this paper wrapper features a custom illustration of the view over the town.

The boxes below were designed to be sold as souvenirs in different UK towns - consequently the nostalgic scene is fictional and generic - an 'every place'. The 'A Souvenir from ...' text was added as a sticker in the blank lozenge. The client wanted these to be as bright as could possibly be achieved (without going to the expense of luminous ink!).
